R50/53 Tall, manual trans owners. How do you do it?

I never knew 5'10" was tall.
I'm 6'6", 280lbs, and I wear size 17 shoes... I owned an '02 MCS with the sunroof. I fit better in my buddy's '06 JCW car with no sunroof. That being said, as long as I adjusted the seat properly in the '02 I had no problem driving it (in a spirited fashion as well)Oh - and I have 2 Classic Minis too.
I fit better in the MK1 / MK2 / MK3 cars than I do the later Minis. The seats got too thick then :(
Im 5'11" and i have tons of room. You must have like very short legs, or very short arms or something that requieres you to sit closer to be able to reach everything. Something is wrong with you whatever it is cuz theres some ppl that commented that can damn near play in the nba.
hahaha
hahaha
6'4" and no problems. My previous vehicle was a 2004 Monte Carlo and my hair would constantly rub the roof. To be Clear... I have more head room and leg room in the 2009 MCS than i did in the 2004 Monte Carlo SS.
No crazy statement, only fact.

If you come to a Mini after driving something like a Miata or S2000 that is a much more purposeful sports car, you'll find the Mini's driving position is just weird. You kind of push down on the pedals instead of forward, plus the steering wheel gets in the way of my clutch knee unless I set pretty high, and the dashboard itself is very high, too. "Mini" and "ergonomics" don't go together, but you get used to it.
I own both a miata and a JCW R53 and Bee1000n makes a good point.... a legitimate complaint about the the "new mini" is that the seat height is too high. "Barstools" is how I have heard others refer to them.
Some say it is part of the charm... I would say you get used to them, but if I was offered a way to drop the seat an inch or even more I would do it without hesitation. Understand, the MINI is VERY roomy for both driver and front passenger (I am 6' tall), more so than many other coupes and even sedans that tend to have very sloping windshields. But if you are used to driving low-seated legs-straight-out proper sports cars the MINI does feel weird and takes some getting used to.
Or... the OP has an alien anatomy.
