Rear "hum" & Excessive Tire Wear...

I don't know if this post might be better suited for another forum/section or not (?) - I just usually pick this one because I have an `03 R50.

I'm getting increased noise in the rear due to my tires cupping/feathering/wearing improperly, what I'm hoping to get a clue about here is: does this rig have control arms in the rear?

I'm thinking the original noise was/is worn-out wheel bearings (having just gone through that with a Subaru), but I was in the dealer last week, and they wanted to do control-arm bushings in THE FRONT...said they were "cracked" - (which makes sense to me as this car spent its first six years winters and 70,000 miles in NY, PA and MD - and that salt wreaks havoc on rubber parts as well as metal) - but they didn't say anything about the rear (and obviously didn't look at the tires).

Anyone care to venture a guess until I can get this thing up off the ground and look at it please?

Thanks in advance,
g......................

I bent one of my factory control arms just doing normal driving, the design for these was very poor, iv seen ppl break theres clean in half doing normal driving, if ur lowered u need adjustable rear control arms, ur toe will be way out of whack so check that out could be the culprit.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm pretty much stock here (just bought this `03 a couple/few weeks ago so not 100% sure...still "getting to know" the vehicle at this point).

Sounds like this could be the prob if these things are that weak. Any idea what the upgrade cost (parts) would be?

Thanks again,
g...............
