Anyone fit a 170 length snowboard inside?

I was exploring roof rack options but I don't go snowboarding enough to justify the expense. So I'm just going to fit my 170 eldo inside somehow. I've never tried it yet and so wanted to get some input from anyone that has. Any tips? tia

I ski on 150’s and they will just fit diagonally in the back area with the rear seats down. I have a friend that skis on 170’s, and they will fit straight in line front to back, but they come up between the seats and sit over the handbrake. You can still shift ok, but have to work around the tips. I suspect your board will fit like my friends skis put in vertically on edge. Have you looked into the MiniFini Sportlink system?

Thanks for the info. I'll try to fit it down the middle over the handbrake. I've got a CVT so it shouldn't be too much of a bother as I don't need to shift.

I have looked at the minifini and the other company that makes things for Mini, can't remember the name right now, as well as from Thule and Yakima. I did an honest assessment of my recreational activities and I don't go enough or need to haul enough stuff around to make it worth the cost of buying those racks/systems.

This should work fine.
