Two Short "BELTS" Questions...

1. Am I correct in that these vehicles have a timing-"CHAIN" (as opposed to a belt)?

2. Drive Belt(s) - is it ONE Serpentine, or are there others?

3. Is there a "preferred" shop/repair (DIY) manual here?

Thanks in advance.........

1. Yes, they use a chain, not a belt.

2. There is only one serpentine belt, it drives all accessories.

3. The Bentley manual is good, but I prefer my Alldata account instead.

Thanks Rick...the Haynes manual should work in a pinch, eh? What does AllData cost please (roughly)?

Thanks again,
Glenn...

Yeah, Haynes manuals will work. I wouldn't rely on it though.

Alldata DIY (personal account) runs $27 a year for one car + $17 per additional car. Or $45 for 5 years + $30 per additional car.

Thanks. I need something in my hands out on the road. I drive regularly into the mountains of VA, and even if I had a laptop with me, chances are good I'd have no reception/signal to get online access.

I'll look-around and see if I can find a deal on the Bentley. Are you familiar with their 'No Guesswork'. manual? That's only a "supplement" to the repair book, eh?

Thanks again.

Its pretty worthless. If you know enough about the workings of a car and are fixing it yourself, you shouldn't need the supplement.

Got it ("sales-hype") - thanks...
