My wife's 03 mini wipers locked up today in the rain. Do you think it is the fuse, needs a new motor or do we have gremlins in the mini? ANy help would be greatly appreciated before we insert the credit card into the dealers flush slot of the abyss!

 

When this used to happen on my 94 suburban simply tapping (more like hitting) the back of the wiper motor a few time fixed the problem for a while. See what that does, although I wouldnt be at all surprised if the motor speed and such is controlled through the BCM. The you could fix it the way I described on the suburban because the motor also housed the intermittent mechanism.
