ok so my cousin and i are arguing about whos mini is faster. i have the mcs and hes got a jcw.. i remember reading somewhere that it was only like a 10hp difference but i cant find it now. can anyone confirm the difference in hp between the two. thanks

 

Depends on the year and the amount of JCW equipment on the JCW car could be a far as 158hp MCS to 208hp JCW or as close as 163hp MCS to 196 hp JCW.... I believe. Assuming both models are stock.

 

an 06 mini s has 168, jcw has over 200 like 205 i think......

hes faster regardless unless u have mods.

the jcw package is

1. jcw brakes
2. jcw head
3.jcw exhaust
4.jcw intake
5.jcw injectors
6.jcw 11% reduction pulley
7. jcw ecu is programmed a little differently
8. JCW SUSPENSION

I think that should pretty much take car of that debate, you could have just googled 06 mcs jcw hp hahaha

 

thts the conmplete package, but he could just have had cetain pieces put on his mcs, but im assuming he got a mcs jcw from the factory, not an mcs with jcw options

 

not sure exactly what he has and i knew he was faster but not by much especially because he has a huge wall that adds who knows how much weight lol
