New (?) Discovery about DSC

I have made and read many posts about turning the DSC off to avoid that scary failure of the car to accelerate (especially when one is trying to get across a busy intersection, for example).

Well, I made a discovery about this that I have to share. For the last few years, I have been turning off the DSC for this reason. Week before last, I got a four-wheel alignment from Johnny's Auto Clinic (aka West Coast Mini's) and guess what: the tendency of the car to nearly die under WOT when cold disappeared completely.

Johnny showed me the alignment baseline for all four wheels, and they were messed up. His guys did a proper alignment, and then he showed me the spec of where it was set when they were done. When I drove the car away, it was a huge difference. The steering was much lighter. The car no longer "pulls" left slightly as it did before, and most surprising of all, that bogging/dying under WOT went completely away.

The point is that if you are experiencing this phenomenon of poor performance with DSC on, you might consider having a high-tech four-wheel alignment.
