02 cooper s wearing rear tires

I have a 02 Cooper S , got it with 24000klm now have 88000klm and I have gone through 2 sets of rear tires. the dam inner rim wears and the tires make an hell of a noise.
Is there any adjustment for the camber on the rear wheels?

Tks Pat

Not on the early cars. You'll have to get adjustable control arms to remove some camber.

Our 2002 MCS did the same thing. I went thru 2 sets of run flats before figuring out the problem. Our tires in the rear would wear so bad on the inside that when I'd rotate them to the front the car would dart around in the road when hitting bumps, it was scary. I had to install camber plates in the front and ALTA lower control arms in the rear. Also switched from the rock hard run flats to Kumho's. The effect? Much better ride and the tires are wearing great!

FYI - I set the camber myself using a 2' level. When I got it aligned the shop said it was perfect...LOL
