Its great to have but I would use a three spoke wheel much more sporty to me. I put a 3-spoke on my wifes 03 MC and it looks alot better than the 2- spoke on my MCS

So this happened to my 04 as well. Dealer replaced the Bowden cable once and it was good for about 3 months. Second time they replaced it they used some kind of adhesive/epoxy to hold it in place, as the stock clips clearly weren't doing the job. Has been fine for about 3 years now - even survived me swapping my door handles.

yeah, i just don't feel like getting a new airbag and all of that hassle.

I have an extra 2-spoke with multi function it peeling a little bit. Its on the market palce right now. I think mini sells a retro fit kit for what you want to do I've seen a thread on here but cant find it now

That's where the microphone goes for the hands free phone system.

Chances are you don't have it. Its a really expensive option. If you do have it there will probably be a supplimental manual for a blue tooth phone system along with the owners manual. Also your center armrest might be set up to hold and charge you phone. And if there s still any doubt you can just pull the little grill down to see if the microphone is attached to it.
