Apologies if this thread already exists, but I've searched and not found one.

Can folks fill me in on what issues to look for in a 1st gen mini? I've gotten kind of spoiled over the years with buying older motorcycles that have great forums with stickies on buying used models, and when I was looking at Miatas, someone had even created a downloadable/printable excel spreadsheet of a checklist to go over when looking at one...

I wouldn't buy an automatic anyway, but I know to avoid them like the plague they are.

Any other advice?
