Is it only the sport steering wheel that is being changed to a 3-spoke? And does anyone know when the 04 MC will be fitted with them? I want a 2-spoke sport wheel and I understand that if i get production early enough, it WILL be a 2-spoke. Is this true. The MA could not guarantee when the changeover would occur. Am I better off sticking with the standard steering wheel since that is remaining 2-spoke. Any ideas?

 

Hello there, I'm actually in the opposite scenario- I'm waiting to order my
04 MCS FOR the three spoke (I can't seem to drive 2 spokes well).

I was told by my dealer, that cars built from week 49 onwards (basically
first week Dec.) will have the three-spoke steering wheel.
My dealer, Motor City Mini, was taking orders for end-Nov, beginning Dec.
when I was there two weeks ago. I'm waiting for Nov to roll around, so I can
time a Feb / March delivery...
