HI All,

My MCS is ready to ship(!)...my only lurking regret is that I wish I had gotten the bonnet stripes...I can certainly live without them but that said...I wonder if the dealer could paint the bonnet stripes on and if so would it be as good a job as if done in the factory?

The Dealer put mine on (non paint). I think they look great!
I had a had time deciding too.

 

When I called ask mini last week I checked weather they were a factory install and was told no, they are all installed at the dealers. the "s" have a very small contrasting stripe on the edges and the reg mini is solid color. hope this helps, go for it. IMHO its not a mini unless it has strips!

 

No need to worry about the dealer install. They are all dealer installed and they are all vinyl. I was actually planning on the white stripes when I thought they were painted, but I wasn't so excited when I found out they were basically pinstriping. I went without and very happy with the look....but it's a personnal thing.
