I don't consider my MINI to be a bmw. One is built in Germany and the other in Great Brittan. Would you consider a Jaguar to be a Ford?

...and stupid is as stupid does, your Trollness. Cling to normalacy. All things mediocre can be found there. Don't fall off the cliff with those of us who really live. Do not, I repeat, do not take the plunge. Those who would ask such questions, if serious, are not worthy. Instead:

Buy Cds like "Best Hits of the 80s"
eat white bread and salt everything
buy polyester only because it lasts (if not set on fire)
shout "I am a dittohead"
sign on to a pyramid sales scheme
open that spam titled "Asian Ya Ya Sex Miracle Free To"
and always wear sensible shoes.

Weird is such a put down word – I like to think of myself as disturbed.

Just like my dear Mama

I love the Monty P reference but doesn't he want to be a girlie just like his dear PAPA?

All the MINI owners I've met (...except on MCO ) are perfectly normal and really nice people. The car is a blast, and we are simply enthusiastic. Most of the weirdness I've witnessed was really due to enthusiasm which is really quite refreshing. We just love our cars! As for the BMW connection...I've never heard it even mentioned....not once.

I think we are all safe from him buying a MINI now.
That was a close one.
I almost changed my name to Chauncey.

Aren't we MINI Owners Fun!
