You sound like an interesting person.
I like the way you view input from others a important but only to evaluate yourself from what sounds like a good sense of self.

However, I did see the Funbox in the wrong way and the wife did also.

As others have said, do what you want and let small minds be small.

When I first decided I wanted a MINI, I got a lot of the typical reaction that "those cars are gay". But I wanted one, so I got one anyway. By contrast, I've talked to many guys around my age who have told me outright that they'd never drive a MINI because people think it's "cute" or "gay", regardless of the fact that the MINI will run circles around whatever "manly" vehicle these individuals invariably drive. My post on how other's percieve your MINI was meant as more of an observation of this kind of thing, rather than an outright objection to it.

So who knows what to call it, exactly - I'm no psychologist. Certainly being "aware" of opinion is a facinating way to look at yourself from a different perspective, but I suppose its up for debate as to whether or not that in some way affects you.

Well I am one. Any view of it is fine as long as you are OK with it, it does not have an adverse effect on your decision-making, and you are "unfazed" (I think that is the word you are looking for) by opinion. In any case how much to weight others' opinions is something we all go through.

Keep smiling and don't let anyone ruin your MINI experience and the right to express yourself.

Does anyone else find issue with this plate? I mean, I feel like my intended meaning for it makes sense in context and all, but still...

If the car is owned by a female driver? haha your gonna get looooots of looks with that one!!!

I figured you might be in some aspect of that field, Cigarman.

And no, I'm not a female (despite the questionable sig ). That would make the plate REALLY awkward.

If you're female, it works.
If you're male, you're going to have interesting new friends!

Ehh I wouldn't stress over it. I probably wouldn't have associated it with that other thing if you hadn't mentioned it.

For the record, I've heard of "box" before, but not "funbox."

I don't think it's a big deal at all. In fact I've seen much MUCH worse on Scion XBs. They go "box" crazy. I say dont' worry about it.
