Adding Lowering Springs ?

I was considering installing a set of Eibach or H&R Springs.

So what other modifications or adjustments are required to a 03' MCS Sport plus susp with Aero kit after putting in a set of these ?

Alignment ? camber adjustments ? Adjustable endlinks ? Do I need new camber plates or can this mod be done w/o any ?

Thanks.

hey gray,
that's a lot of questions
i've heard very good things about the tsw springs and would include them as a possibility. lowering the mini will introduce more negative camber to the front and rear. if you go about an inch lower, you will probably need a set of lower control arms to adjust the rear camber. i think camber plates are a fantastic mod. my personal advice would be for fixed camber plates. that said, i have the adjustables, which came with my bc coilovers then you have to find yourself some alignment specs...search and enjoy. you don't need adjustable endlinks.

hope that helps....you'll feel ilke it's on rails....then you'll have to fight off getting ultra high performance, non run flats, and lighter wheels...does it ever end!?!?

+1 on the rear adjustable lower control arms, which will allow you to correct the camber (and some minor toe) which the lowering springs will alter. That's about the only thing you will NEED, although camber plates would be recommended.

Ok, Thanks oxtox....Sounds like an initial 150 dollar Mod + labor will end up costing another $500.00 or so....?

And your right..........it never ends - lol

Thanks.

Do you have any issues with our roads here running 1" or so lower ? I really would like to do this some day soon.

my roads have got to suck as much as yours... you would have to go to afganistan to find worse i have no issues running an inch and a half lower except on this one speed bump at work that my omp lower strut bar hits. now if you mean snow, that's different...any lower than and inch and a half, and you probably have a snowplow

see you at the dragon!

In regards to what type of springs to get, Randy Webb recommends H Sport and he gives his reasons taking into account ride comfort (I'm starting to see the potholes around Boston just as you probably are):

His springs explanation is at the bottom. Randy responds quickly to emails if you ask for his input.
