R50/53 Looking for Sponsorship
Hi everyone,
Besides being a MINI Cooper owner/ enthusiast, I'm currently a Junior at New Jersey Institute of Technology studying Industrial Engineering. This year, I took action in bringing together a team of 6 Engineering students to create a Mini Baja Vehicle for the "Society of Automotive Engineering's Midwest Mini Baja Competition".
I am the chief engineering student of 'Team2' operations. Our perspective of the design and construction is to be much different than that of Team 1 (for competitive and creative reasons). Our group of 6 engineering students is a very skilled and talented group that may potentially create a first place car. Sadly, our team was given a mere $250 for tools, supplies, and parts. Luckily for us, team members and local establishments alike are willing to provide a small percentage of support. We have thus far found strong sources for tools, however funds and supplies/parts are missing. With a final cost totaling over $3000, our team is far from resting.
This thread is going out to any companies, engineers, machinists, manufacturers, suppliers, members, and other individuals who are willing to make a donation of money, supplies, tools, uniforms, etc. I can be contacted at ejp2@njit.edu or by phone 201-563-8165. An official Sponsor Letter will be up soon at web.njit.edu/~ejp2/projects
Being a sponsor for my team is not a 'one-way street'; We do support, promote, and display our sponsors for whom all of those who have pushed to see our Mini Baja Vehicle completed and successful in the Midwest Mini Baja.
I look forward to your generosities for a fellow MINI dude. Thanks.
Regards,
Eric
