I have just installed an aero kit on my 03 MCS and the jack points are still the same yes but I used to place a 2x4 between the jack points to distribute the weight as I jacked the car up and place the jack stands under the factory jack points. The aero kit hangs a bit lower off the frame and I don't want to damage the side skirt by jacking on a weak plastic side skirt, so what do I do? Is there another way to place my mini on jack stands?

 

run the car on the 2X6s to clear the jack on the side skirts.

I had the same problem as you JIMJMN...I studied Paul's well cross-referenced 2x4 method thread (actually Qtip was the OP but Paul had all of the gouge), then realized there was no way to make it work properly with the Aero side skirts without causing or risking damage.

Another post in that same thread points out the presence of a flat, circular dimple about 4 inches inboard just in front of the A-panel door panel. That spot has been my savior for getting the car on the jack stands. The frame is stiff enough that I can jack there and get the side high enough that both tires are off the ground, then I just put the jack stands at the jack points. I suppose if you had to get the MINI any higher, it might not work so well so you might need to seek another alternative.
