I have noticed that the nose and front bumper of my 2006 astro black Mimihas a severe case of road rash paint chips; It looks like I fpllowed a leaking sand truck which I think I did once. Does anyone else have this problem and has anyone else tried the DE.ColorChip paint kit. Could this be faulty paint or faulty driving

 

your not the only one. I wish my front end had a clear bra. but it didn't when I bought it used.

 

I used the Dr. ColorChip road rash kit on Cosmo, my Space Blue Mini this weekend and it was wonderful! What a difference!!! It works just like they advertise.

 

+1 for Dr. Color Chip.

Also, the paint in our cars is water based due to EPA mandates (That affect all manufacturers in the world) making it very soft and prone to chipping.

You have 2 solutions (Or 3 for that matter):

1) Never drive the car
2) Spend your life filling up paint chips/re-spraying the front end every few years (Kills resale value)
3) Install a quality clear bra to prevent further damage.
