Rear windshield wiper stuck

Hi all,

I just noticed this morning that the rear windshield wiper is stuck in the vertical position on my '06 MCS. When I turn the wiper on, it moves once half way down and then back facing straight up and then it gets stuck. When I was leaving work tonight it did the same exact thing (just once), so for some reason I think this is an electric issue opposed to mechanical possibly. I didn't spend much time looking at it on the outside (I will investigate tomorrow) but it didn't seem like something that you can turn easily with your hand.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I don't like to make trips to the dealer unless it's a major issue.

Thanks

Mine is doing the same thing. It just kinda stops working mid wipe. I noticed that if you turn the ignition off and then back on it will wipe a bunch of times in a row (more than usual when you first turn it on) then get stuck again. I just had mine in for another unrelated repair and it started happening just after that. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and make an appointment. I will let you know if I find anything out.

I feel your pain... It's an hour drive to the dealer for me and then it will probably work just fine when they have it so nothing will get fixed.

What did the dealer say? Mine has been stuck for over a week now but I don't have the time to make the 30 mile drive to the dealer until next year. I'm now debating whether to just remove the whole thing since I rarely use it anyway.
