So one and all, I have officially joined the mini cooper ranks. I was in the market for a porsche but ran across a beaut of a coop and decided it was a better purchase for the time being. Onto the details...

It is a 2005 Cool blue Mini S Convertable 6spd automatic, Blue top (sorry no pictures yet) w/ all option except nav, and the paint is in cherry shape. Car has 35K on the clock, waranty till 8/09 or 55K, and I picked it up for a whopping $16,500.

Needless to say I feel I stole the car, never wrecked, clean car fax, 1 owner, and serviced as needed. Only some small niggles, such as : center armrest won't stay closed, rear speakers are shot, squeaky rear brakes. Ends up most if not all of those issues will be fixed under warranty next tuesday.

So did I kill on this deal or what? Will post pics later tonight.

If the mechanicals hold and anything that crops up is covered under warranty, then you stole the Cabrio.

Pretty rare color, too. Enjoy and drive.

Pictures would be great, this one should have sold for a minimum of $18,500 to $19,500 considering color and cabrio. My opinion.... FWTIW.

Congrats, and welcome to the Club! You must have lived a good life (but those days are probably over now that you're in that cheap MINI)!

Happy Motoring!

Congrats on your new MINI! Definitely need some pics. I like the color combo, blue with a blue top.

You can have my nightmare 944 if you still want a Porsche... I'd pay you to take it off my hands, if only it weren't going towards the MINI. LoL!

Anyhoo, I paid 18.3k back in October for my '05 with similar miles and a few less options (factory options, at least). Depends on what neck of the woods you're in, but I'd call that a score for sure up here in the NE. At any rate, enjoy! Addicting cars, there are - you might find you no longer want that Porsche after a while...

yeah well at least the OP won't have to worry about the clutch and dual mass flywheel issues that plague 1st gen cars. The aisin automatic is nothing short of bulletproof.

Great deal OP!!

You got a good deal for sure, but the days of high resale values for Mini's are over. I drive by the auto row in San Jose every day on my commute and I see used Mini's sit on lots for many weeks before they disappear. The bubble has burst.
