Hi,
I've got an early MINI Cooper (R51) and am changing the seats over for some Cooper S half leather ones i've bought.
Anyway i'm having a real struggle removing the rear seat back, i've taken out the bolt from the back lower part of the seat. The manual then says to tip them at a 45 degree angle and remove. No matter what angle I tip them at they just won't budge.
Any ideas?

IGNORE THIS POST, Figured it out. The backrest splits into two if you lift up the bracket at the back with the seat folded forwards.

 

if your crouching in the boot, tip the seat forward 45 degrees and wiggle it around. It's a bit of a *****.
