New Shift Well Need Help Installing

Hey again,
I am trying to install a new craven speed shift well, and I am having trouble taking apart the center console. I need to get the upper bolt off the drivers side knee bolster, but it's behind the piece of dashboard around the steering wheel.

Do I have to get it off to continue, and how do I dis assemble the dash....

Don't know if you figured this out yet....BUT, there are two clips that are really hard to get out unless you have the right leverage or know a trick. The trick that I used to drop that molding down under the steering wheel was this, put a knife blade between the dash and that plastic molding and turn it enough to move the molding.....then you should be able to pull out and it will come fairly easily.
At least thats what I do on my r53 and it works like a charm everytime!

Hey,
I got that crap off. I've removed all the bolts from the cup holders, and center console pieces, however I still can't get the center console completely off... It seems it is still clipped in, or attached where the seat warmer switches, and side view mirror switches are. I've pulled and pulled and pulled. I can't get it off... (by the way, mine is a 05 mini)

Those need to be unclipped in the back. I wouldn't pull too hard on then since you could completely pull the wires out....which would suck to have to fix. Best way to do it is this.....take them out from the top....i.e. knife blade or molding tool to pry them up. Then unclip the harnesses in the back. Theres two on the electric mirror unit and should be one on each of the seat warmers. Theres also TWO on the cig lighter which is on the back of that piece. Hope this helps!

YES. Thanks. It worked great. Plus the guys from CRAVEN, called me back on a Saturday. WOW. I also installed "my own" short shifter. A little hacksaw goes a long way....
