i didn't get the silicone and it still screams. so it's your call, but i would probably get it if i had the chance.

I went with the Craven CAI. My girlfriend has the Alta V2. They both sound great,, but even she says mine is a bit louder. Great SC whine and suction sound!

 

Got my DDM intake on today and that thing screams!!!

I gotta learn to lay off the gas pedal

I've been very happy with the Dinan CAI. Not too loud but does make a sweet sound when provoked!

My Alta screams like a banshee, especially now that it's getting cold out. Adds noticeble grunt too.

Thing is, the scream is drowning out the beautiful sound of the Milltek exhaust. I'm thinking of swapping out for a JCW to get the orchestra better balanced, even with a little lost HP.

Anyone want to trade?

I have the Helix CAI sounds great and it was cheap . It has a gaint K&N filter, but I am thinking of changing the k&n for an ITG foam filter. I had one on my VW gti and it sounded great!

 

I have a Voltage intake too! The sound is incredible! It LITERALLY turns peoples heads!

 

That is funny. You are right though. I have a DDM but when accelerating hard on the street if there is anybody walking buy or standing around they usually turn their head, I am sure its the supercharger whine...

 

Well I bought the Alta CAI and took out my DDM CAI. I kinda wish I had stayed with the DDM. Weird, but I thought the sound was better with the DDM. Maybe ill buy the top that goes on the Alta to make it more like the DDM.

 

I have the Webb SportBox w/ RAF. Love the sound.
