Hi all. I am very intrigued to find out who purchased a 2002 Mini or Mini S and still has it? I was just interested in what you life has been like with your mini over the past 7 or so years. Is there anyone who purchased a new mini in 2002 and still uses it a their everyday driver? Just interested!

Purchased new March 5th 2002. Have driven the little devil religiously since (not counting shop time when I was driving a loaner).
Just flat-out love that car. Gonna run it 'til the wheels fall off. What do you want to know?
Oh, and btw, life is an unending adventure when you own a MINI.

Just overall, you feel like its a solid car. Always reliable within reason? All cars have problems now and then. I just see lots of cooper owners purchase a mini, and then get a new one a couple years later. (Not streotyping, just my opinion). I tend to be the kind of perosn to buy a car and baby it and drive it till it has 200,000 miles and the door is held closed by a bungee chord. Just looking for experiences from people like myself.

I've had my car since october of 2002, although it is technically an '03, it has none of the design changes of the '03s. It's been a daily driver that entire time. My commute used to be short, around 3 miles one way. Now it is roughly 12 miles one way, so the milage has been racking up faster these past 3 years.

The troubles I've had related directly to my mods, except the window motor and the airbag system.

I may only have about 51,000 miles but I can say with confidence that it will last to 200,000 miles - with 1-2 new s/c.
