On board computer full-function activation

Hi:
My '05 MCS has the On-board computer screen, but it only reads outside temp. and traveling speed. I read somwhere here that there are some instructions you can print, hand them to the MINI dealer service tech, and depending on the dealer, they may/may not charge you for activation of the full functions(Outside temp., traveling speed, current MPG's etc.). My car came with the light stem switch that has the "computer" diagram on it, so I know this is required to be there when activating.

Thanks

Just saw the instructions for building your own button posted by RichardF, do a quick search for his post.. I commented right after it, if you cant find it let me know I'll try to grab you a link.

I believe the onboard computer functions are already on your car. Your MINI dealer can activate the software, but they charge for it. I think it is sort of like the cost of a license to use the software.
