Anybody have any dealings with MINI of Univesal City? They are my closest dealer, (literally right down the street), but if anybody knows about
their pricing policies, etc, I would greatly appreciate the info.
Motor On!!

I don't know anything about Universal City, but I have been dealing with BMW Irvine, and aside from the elusive Mini dealers their pricing is pretty much the same as the Mini USA website aside from tax and a few other extras. Hope this helps.

I picked up my Mini "S" from this dealer on May 1st.
I dealt with Jim and he was great. Paid about 4800$
over sticker and this car is worth every penny. It's White
Top/Dark Silver. It's on page 2 on the Member's Mini
section. I took it to a car show last weekend...WoW...
I'll tell more as soon as I get my pictures ready...
Good Luck, Have Fun and Happy Motoring....

Yes, I actually had my picture taken with that car. Yes It is quite beautiful. And certainly on of my two choices, dark silver S with either the white or black roof. I can't say I am thrilled about the 4800 over sticker, but hopefully that will drop when the S is officially rolled out next month.
Have fun

Wow, $5k over sticker is a lot, makes me glad the dealers over here in NC are selling at the sticker price. This is supposed to be a fun cheap car.

Hi. I just called Universal City Mini. The guy told me Mini S STARTS at $6,000 over sticker price! For that, I could spend a few weeks in England or Canada, buy a Mini, bring it over, and still make out like a bandit. So, Irvine is sticker price. And North Carolina is sticker price. I assume that means because of the shortage that we're lucky for sticker price. Anyone else in California or neighboring states know of reasonable prices?

Hey. What does that mean, "elusive Mini dealers"? Were they tough to deal with? And what kind of extras are they tacking on?

Universal was the worst dealer I had any contact with, PERIOD. I could go on for ever about them. Attitude was terrible, prices were high. After I bought elsewhere, they wouldn't service my car. Their excuses were beyond ridiculous. They're the closest to me, too. I drove an hour away to buy.
Stay awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay from these guys.
