R50/53 This morning I Spied...
3 New BMW cars not yet released to the motoring public... the new X3, the new 5 and the new Rolls. I cannot describe to you how incredible the new Rolls looks... think Art-Deco era locomotive... Simply beautiful, grand and truly graceful.
The X3 is a little funky... the rear quarter window has an up-kick at the end that makes me think shoebox... not sure yet.
The new 5 looks simply fantasic. There was a black and a silver one. Go silver if you decide to get one... the black looks to be REAL heavy...
Want to see these cars in action for yourself? Live in So. Cal? Get yer butts to Big Tujunga Canyon road and the Angeles Forrest Highway intersection by 'bout 7:15 in the AM. They are heading up the hill to work on altitude stuff, I think.

>>pic's????
Unfortunately, I was driving in the opposite direction, on a canyon road, in my Mini, at speed... that and no digital camera in the car. I do plan to hang out next week sometime as I have seen this posse a few times this week. Last year, was seeing the Z4 before its release as well.
I'll try to get some pics then...

I've been seeing these 3 cars driving around my area for at least 6 months. They look like toyota echos but a little different. They always have zebra looking stripes or other things on the car so you cant tell what they are, and always drive in packs of 3. I saw some at the gas station once and asked the drivers what they were but they wouldnt say, they had that "I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you" look on their face.
No cladding or stripes, just missing grill pieces. The 5 was completely done (except the grills)... In fact the Rolls was a finished, ready for the showroom car from what I could tell...
Can't wait to follow them next week...
Ryan, I live in the AV... where did you see the cars noted in your post?
