I used to have a 914 (among other Porsches) and belonged to the "914World" community site....talk about cars that are long in the tooth! BUT it is a fresh site with good people that is well laid out and easy to use...and post on.Lots of help on the old questions and the new...always modding going on and a lot of respect amongst ALL the members.
I'm almost sorry to have sold my 914 'cause this community was sooooo good . However none of the 7 Porsches I have owned are as good as my MCS! So I guess I'll just have to be a little more active around here...
Every single one of us was a noob on this site at some point. The sad part is that some people forget that while they are clambering up on their soapboxes to announce their 'all-knowingness'. Just ignore 'em, sooner or later, they'll just fall off the box and wander away.
In 2005 a typical thread was about the Ideal Gas Law or How a reduction pulley makes power. In 2008 I am seeing more posts like "What color is your dog?"

you must read every thread.
I look for threads that have new interests with current performance related issues. Sometimes they are informative if you can read around the old BS and see what you are looking for. Or perhaps a new modification that no one has done yet or perfected.
