Decal Question

Hi all,
I have a new (to me) 2006 MCS. I love the car so far and, needless to say, I now check out every other Mini that I see.

My question is:
Can anyone tell me about the checkered decals on the sides of my car (link below)? I have yet to see another one like it so far. Is this something that is a standard decal or is it a custom thing? I'm just curious.

Thanks.

It's a first for me too. Are you keeping the look or are you going to do something different?

That's new to me also at least in red & white, but as you go along I think you will find that it's real hard to find any two MINI's alike.

andrew, it appears that checkers added all that to their car and improved to 196 WHEEL horsepower. Figuring about 15% powertrain losses, that 196 WHP is maybe 225-235 CRANK horsepower. So... how's a 60hp increase grab ya?

ktlong - that looks great, and is definitely custom (not available from the factory). Never seen another like it!

Actually it's closer to 70whp, it's an automatic. Thats about a 25% powertrain loss. Besides at the last dyno the car keep up shifting at 65k. On the steet it hang in gear until 7k. It's going back to Jan (RMW) next month for a retune and dyno. We will see how it does then.
