A/C use and Power Loss

I have a 2004 MINI Cooper 56,000 miles, I bought the car used in February of this year. I have noticed that if I stop on a hill with the A/C on when I accelerate I loss power. It has not died however it is very scary to loss power when crossing a intersection. Has anyone else had this problem? Suggestions on what the problem might be?

I've experienced a similar loss of power when the ac is on. I just give it more gas and it gets going.

ok, I see it is just they way it is. I will do a tune and give it more gas and see where how it goes. Thank you for the feed back.

I've got an 08 MC and have noticed the same thing, though maybe not as pronounced. My solution is rpm.
