Sturdy Rear View Mirrors?

I've only had idiots bump thier butts and hips into mine in parking lots, nothing more serious than that. However, everytime I wash our cars I turn the mirrors facing down to drain the water out. I've been doing this on our '05s since they were new,and they haven't loosened up or been affected yet! Sorry, that's all I got.

They're designed to be turned in so passing vehicles (on tiny city roads like in Athens, Greece) don't shear them off. The cab drivers there make a path.
