I have a pair of Merrell Sprints and they are great. Very narrow and the sole does not stick out .

This is just my personal preference, but I enjoy wearing Birkenstock open toe sandals or flip flops. they are great even if you have a stick shift!

Some people like to use old wrestling shoes- thin with flat heels and supportive ankles.
Plus if you get into a fight over why you crashed your MINI, they are great shoes to wrestle in!
I am civilized and use Merrells. Very comfortable.

I've also seen TIDE racing shoes- kinda nice but no longer for sale- their a few years old.

MINI will soon be releasing a shoe as part of the MINI lifestyle lineup that is made in conjunction with sparco and puma. It is a two piece shoe - inner removable shoe is a driving shoe and around the house while you slip on the outside to make them into tennis shoes - they look very sweet..should be a couple months and they will be out.

I use the oldschool puma suede's. They have really thin soles and they're really comfy

Usually in other cars I can drive barefoot fine but in the mini its uncomfortable for me...dont know why

On a side note I have bigger feet then rapper 50-cent, just wanted to say that.

I like my Puma speedcats a lot, they provide good flexibility and heel-toeing is very easy. Best part is they were only 60 bucks from the Puma store on 3rd street in Santa Monica.

Those sparco Pumas, Momos and Alpine stars look comfy enough to go to bed with them.
Being fire rated some of these true driving shoes are expensive. Serious foot gear.

I did find G-force mid top racing shoes for $60

Whoa - I'm going to have to completely disagree with you there. And by the way I was this (finger pinching motion) close to being a foot model
