R50/53 Any way of turning ASC off permanently?
Any way of turning ASC off permanently?
Basically ASC is really starting to annoy me now, it has actually put me in danger a few times by totally jerking my car forward and thus putting me out of control.
I find myself turning this peice of **** off everytime I drive now and would rather save myself doing this over and over.
Any help?

i really cant see how asc has endangered your life ( in fact i bet your the only person on the planet with this issue so mabe its your driving )
but if you wanted to turn it off permanently disconnect a wheel speed sensor

You can set it to be in "Track Mode" ASC/ DSC off all the time if you order the Ian Auto Window up module. You can also set the fog lights to come on every time you turn on you headlights also. 2+ perks for just an auto up window module.

Yes there is a way.
I don't understand the jerking your car forward part though. If you spin the wheels the ASC is going to cut engine power & not do it in a subtle way. It's pretty harsh if you ask me & I agree in the wrong circumstances it can be dangerous.
I had an incident when I was driving my new car home from the dealer. A bit of gravel in the intersection & too much throttle = a too close encounter with a gravel truck.
When I got home I contacted Ian Cull & ordered one of his auto-up window circuits with track mode. What the track mode does is defaults the ASC to off when you start your car. The only drawback is the yellow traction warning light remains on, I've gotten used to that.
