AUX Input

There appears to be an aux input jack below the center stack of my 2006 MCS (there isn't one in the glove box), but there is nothing in the owner's manual or in the separate radio manual that refers to it. If I plug a Sirius radio cable into what appears to be a jack -- and it turns out not to be one -- will I run the risk of causing a short or some other electrical/audio problem?

If you bought your 06 MCS used, quite possible the previous owner added the jack... Many of us have placed them in positions other than the "standard" glove box... Don't think you'll hurt anything to try it.

BTW, when you are going to hook something up to the aux jack you need to plug it in THEN hit the mode button a couple of times to get to the AUX setting. If you dont plug the device in first it wont switch to aux.

If you are worried you could hook up a cheap radio to it and see if it it works. That way if it is something else (unlikely) you arent out of anything big.
