Interesting problem with fuel gauge

Maybe someone else has had this problem occur and can let me know what I can expect. After driving my MCS for about an hour, I shut her down for 45 min. and then restarted the car. I noticed that fuel gauge was pegged on empty with the empty light on. I had only driven about 130 miles after a fill up. I drove like this for 45 min. and then the gauge started to creep up to 3/4 full. Since then its been fine.

I had that happen twice a year ago and haven't seen it since. Welcome to the Mini!
