Surging at highway speed?

Hi all,
Any reason I would have surging when at steady speed, especially highway speed? works fine if I give it some gas, but surges a little when at a steady speed.

Hi!
Check the spark plugs first.

does it happen when you have the cruise control on? If thats the case, then it could be happening when the car starts to go up an incline in the road slowing it down a bit. The car will then automatically apply the gas and if you aren't expecting it to happen, it could feel like a "surge."

I had a Jeep that did this and it was a Throttle Positioning Sensor.

Not happening only with cruise control, happend when I was just cruising. It seems to have gone away now, maybe had some bad gas?

If it comes back I'lll check plugs and TPS as suggested. Thanks!
