I don't think people looks that.. is an engine part does not matter if is grey black or yellow. at least for me.

if the IC is not heat coated from factory is because it doesn't have too much efect and not because of the cost.

and I don't know how "heat coating" the IC would increase the efficiancy, the heat coating avoid transfer heat. not to keep it cooler
