Here I go again this time its Pink Rims
Well I did my dash myself in pink and I been living with it for 2 years and love it. Get lots of compliments and still trying to find extra cash to finish fixin my car up. On the list are matching pink bonnets a custom union jack roof in pink/blue that matches the two colors of my car and then for my rims I was gonna go with white but I was searching for pink out of curiosity and saw there are some out there. Also maybe a possibility of custom painting? Wondered where I might get that done and would it depend what kind of rim or does that matter? What about doing my current s-lites myself? I wonder how well the paint will hold up or not? I saw someone else with some white ones for sale that they did themself. If I did this I would get the paint the same place I did for my dash, they make it custom in spray can for $25 a can.
Wow! That would be wild. I would say paint the spokes pink and leave the rims silver/polished - whatever they are. The S-lites can be masked off so that you could paint just the center/spoke area - somewhere on here there's a picture of a black car with orange-spoked S-lites, and it looks pretty sharp.
pink is kinda wild, good for you
as far as the rims go powder coating them would be the best option. if this is too pricey a rattle can will work and should hold up fairly well as long as you take care and clean them often. the rattle can however is miles away from powder coating. best advise to do it yourself using a rattle can is to practice on junk first. spray paint can be terrible looking if done incorrectly. use very light coats and many many of them. it will take a while if you do it right but it will also look the best using a rattle can. post pics if you decide to do it.
