2004 Cooper S Seat Issue... Help!
so i am doing a full detail on my mini and i moved the seat backs all the way back (lying down) to apply leather conditioner. well when i finished i went to adjust the seat back and it's not budging, this is JUST the drivers side seat, if i flip the lever on my left (to allow passenger entry) it flips the seat back up but the seat doesn't slide along the rails, and the lever on the right (to adjust the seat back) doesn't do anything at all.
the car is JUST out of warrenty, is this a knon issue, any advice? i really don't feel like going to the dealer and getting raped
thanks in advance!!!

Have you tried sitting on the seat to literally "go through motions"? I'm wondering if maybe these mechanical functions are better accomplished with the weight of a body in place.
Just a thought. Good luck!
