Inside chrome Q

i have a swecond post out regarding thins but just wondered if anyone knows how to remove the tac plastic trim piece to replace with the chrome one? its sitting here and KILLING me not putting it on. thanx in advance

I believe they just pop off. Check for screw holes on the back side, if there are none, then its a pop off. The problem is trying not to damage it in the process. You have to get a little aggressive with plastic clips and tabs sometimes. Try a little hook tool and pull on it supporting on the back side so you don't break the whole unit. Sometimes you should also look for spots where you see a sign of a tab on the inside push downward and pull. There also may be spots intended for that-

I accidentally popped 2 of mine off so far just with a cup in the cup holder and the speaker cover with a light bump. They are both just pushed in with big plastic tabs if this helps!?!?!?!
