I would ascertain that this is a system inside of MINI, and as long as he's not going against any job limitations seems to be a completely different situation.

of course just my interpretation

Yes, you're right. I am not taking this from Carfax. Dont even know what carfax is cause here in Germany there is nothing similar I know.

The ASAP is an system inside Mini for dealers to get data about cars about their ordering options. So when repairing, selling, etc. you have data you need to know.

Every dealer is allowed to do this for his customers and friends (and also community members)..

Can you run one more please

CarterMD

I have been looking at a MC here in New York and the owner is a bit confused on what is one the car. Not sure if he ordered the sport package or just the sport seats.

Anway the VIN is WMWRC334X5TC59440.

I hope you don't mind running another one. You have opened the floodgates here ( I hope you are not regretting it.) I appreciate your willingness to help your fellow MINI enthusiasts.

Thanks so much.

I *really* appreciate you running the VIN for me, and the offer of help. I've loved the new MINI since it came out, and I'm thrilled to finally be getting one. I know I won't sleep a wink tonight...we are driving to Wiesbaden to pick her up tomorrow!

Is Minimaniac your site? I'm going to have a look around there.

Danke!
I guess I'm an old neighbour, I lived in Biberach for a yearm which is about 20 minutes south of Ulm.

Vin Number-Determine features

I've been referred to this post. I just purchased a 2007 Mini with 1400 miles from a BMW dealer in Virginia last week. They are not a mini dealer so they could not confirm all the options. I'm curious to know if my new car is wired for Ipod and bluetooth. I would also like to have the "feature" report for my file for the car. I would appreciate your help, if possible. The VIN number is: WMWMF335X7TT50959 Thanks in advance. Pat

PS-You're kind to do this for the forum.

Pat-Pepper White Mini-I just went over 300 miles on my first tank of gas cruising through DC and adding a few highway trips.....and I just may turn into a "hyper-miler".

Carter, do you have a PayPal account? PM it to me if you do.

Hey members, what is the value to you of the report Carter has been sending us all? I would have paid $25 for it.

To me it's one of the most valuable pieces of paper I have for my MINI. I copied it, printed it out three times and put one in the car, one folded in the manual, and one in the house. And I have the PDF readout in about three places on my computer.

I think everyone should send Carter $5, especially since he has always run the reports without complaint and for anyone who has asked.

It would be OK since he is not selling them, I am saying simply that we should donate to him for his efforts.

OK, skin flints?

Yes, the reports are handy, if he provides PayPal address I will send him a dollar or five.

That said, I'm not as OCD about the report as MichaelSF...

Thanks Carter MD. The information was very helpful. You probably could start a nice little enterprise. I bet you could get more than $5 for each report but with the way the american dollar is going lately that still may not be much!!!!!

Thanks again

And one again...

Concerning the 5$-thing and Paypal, let me think about it. I need first to check my Paypal-account if it supports this over here in Germany.

I can say, it is very very kind of you all to think about my joke so seriously !
Let me see what I can do....

You are so kind. Thanks very much. I want to tell you that I did contact miniusa, no luck, referring me to the dealer for the original purchase, I called the dealer, Mini of Towson, and they said they could not do it. Very frustrating. BTW-the BMW of Fairfax dealer where I purchased my car 10 days ago called me and said I got one bargain deal for my 2007 pepper white with 1400 miles on it. Since my purchase, the phone has been ringing off the hook. As gas goes up demand for the cooper goes. Thanks so much for this report, I can see that it has wiring for satellite radio which I did not know and that was my particular interest.

You have solved my problem and I'm glad to have this report with my car files.

Regards,

Pat
