AC Electrical Issue - Any standard things to check?

Ok, so my AC is out, but it's not the Freon, it's something else not turning it on. The fuse is fine, by the way.

Are there any standard things to check that people have had issues with?

I have a 2003 Cooper S, by the way.

ANY advice would be very appreciated!

How do you know it is not freon? The a/c is actually controlled by the computer. The switch on the dash only sends a request to the computer for A/C, the computer decides if you can have it or not. There are literally 1000 things that could keep it from working, from a bad sensor someplace to a bad computer.

If you have low freon, the low pressure safety switch would disable the compressor to avoid damage by running the compressor.
