Dealer can program headlights, anything else?

My wife wants to have the daytime headlights on. The original owner had them programmed to be off. Are there any other little things like this that the dealer has the ability to program? Please excuse our ignorance as we are newbies. Thanks. Rob.

Yes, they can. I've attached a pdf - not sure it you'll be able to see it though.
If not, do a search on 'programmable' and you'll find a few threads.

Well, the low fuel *light* is always active - the selectable setting is for the low-fuel chime, which some people might not want. I also think some of the "default" markings in the PDF might not be correct, or dealers might automatically enable the low-fuel chime, because both of our MINIs have it, although we didn't ask for it.

Also, keep in mind that some of the programming options have changed, while others are either not available any longer or have had the limits changed. For instance, you can't program "pathway lighting" for 240 seconds any more - I think 40 seconds is now the maximum.

Also, a lot of people (myself included) have had a hard time getting "selective central locking" enabled from the remote control. This is the setting that unlocks both doors and the boot with a single button press on the remote. When I had my car programmed, the dealer told me that option was no longer available (this was in late 2006), but I've heard of one person that's gotten it programmed onto a 2006 since then, so it's possible that some options depend on the particular car, while other options depend on the version of the programming software that the dealer has.
