Anybody replace their automatic shift ****? If so,
where did you find them. I know Mini sells a replacement
but was wondering if there is a better selection out there.

Thanks. Jim

I thought about this the other day. I guess the only one you found was the silver CVT selector on MINIUSA, huh? That one is OK, but actually I think it looks cheap. I tried looking but found no options. Also, do you think there is a leather boot we can get for the CVT? I want one.

Hey cooptime.
I have been looking for goodies like this since
I got my CVT and it sure is hard to tell if some parts
will fit on my car. I think these vendors are missing
a huge market by not making this stuff for automatics.

Yeah, the MINIUSA shifter is crappy looking. I happen to like the chrome accent on my stock shifter, but it doesn't feel good in my hand. I've got Whalen-short-shifter envy

Has anyone actually purchased the MINIUSA silver CVT selector or seen it installed? I can't tell from the accessory catalog if it looks good or not. Beyond looks, I was wondering if it might stay cooler in the sun than the stock shifter.

Also, I know it's not directly to the topic of this thread, but there is a matching silver hand brake cover, also from the official accessory catalog. Has anyone purchased this or seen it installed? Thanks!

I've got the silver handbrake handle. It's the one with the ends in black and the middle portion in silver? The original handbrake handle in my MINI One (not available in the US) was a plastic/vinyl thing - not nearly as nice as the Cooper handle. And this silver/brushed aluminium handle gets warm in hot weather, unlike the old vinyl grip. Looks less cheap though, so I'm quite happy with it

Thanks, trek. Did you consider getting the silver CVT selector also?

I'm driving a manual, actually.
