02-04 MCS top end vs. 05+?

Knowing that 05 MCS' acceleration is aimed more at low end acceleration, has anyone done any tests to see if the 02-04 MCS has quicker top end acceleration? Seems like that would happen, I'm wondering if its true

Let us say in 4th gear and at equal speed, the gearing of the 02-04 will be in the more-usable-HP RPM when you hammer it. It should make use of the peak Tq & Hp better.
