R50/53 Chevy/Geo Metro Owners - now MINI fanatics?
LOL! The fake snork isn't even centered!
Sadly, I have to commend the owner, if it is a real intake, maybe the manifold is on that side. Nice try. But not very Mini in the end.
Oh wow, I totally forgot about this Metro conversion (has a Buick GNX turbo V6 and rear wheel drive) that came out to one of our track rentals. 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile... I suppose I wouldn't mind driving that one to get a gallon of milk from the store once in awhile!

Check ebay; craigslist. The Geo's are selling for more now than when they were new. Highly desireable commute car. I know a gentleman who has a '92 and has done a few things -grooved the cylinder heads, set up a hot air intake, heats his fuel (aftermarket tranny cooler on back of radiator), full flat wheel covers, really skinny, high-pressure tires, etc. And today he told me he's got it a 62 mpg. It's a work in progress, and he's moved it up from his original 43 mpg so far. I'm having fun watching him squeeze his gas 'till it screams.
