R50/53 Space Saver spare to fit the S ???
Is anyone aware of a space-saver spare tire that will fit on the Cooper S?
I'd like to get rid of the harsh-riding run-flats, but don't wish to get stranded.
I had the "fix-a-flat inflator" on my M Roadster and it threw up in the trunk one very warm day. That latex does not clean up easily!
I'd consider either an inflatable spare (think Camaro/Firebird), or the "bicycle tire" type narrow spare found in many current cars.
Anybody been to the junkyard (oops... recycled auto parts emporium) to see what might fit ?
Thanks, Mike

there's another thread on this somewhere, search for it. The gist of the thread was that no one has found a place to locate the spare. Even with a single side exhaust such as the Quicksilver, the battery box is still in the way.
First, 200mph, welcome to MINI Cooper Online.
Here is the other thread.
I'm going to lock this to focus the discussion in the original thread.
