My R53 averaged 9k per year for the 4 years that I owned it. That's including a 1200 mile round trip to the Dragon each year. Final milage was 35993 when it was totaled 3 years and 11 months after I bought it.
My 06MCC has 56,000 on it and is running great! Prior to the Mini I had a 98 Ford Escort ZX2 with 189,000 trouble free miles on it. That has been the best car I,ve ever owned.
I got my MINI in December, 2006. After the first year, I had driven about 26000 miles. That included two road trips from Kansas City to Watertown, WI and back, and a road trip from Kansas City to Salt Lake City and back. Those three trips accounted for about 4500 miles. So, from my normal commute and motoring on the weekends, I did about 21500 miles in a year.
We got our 2004 MCS on 19 March 2004 with 7 miles on her.
She currently stands at 115,103 fun filled miles covering a large chunk of the Eastern United States. (Disney World to Chicago, San Antonio to Ronkonkama) Luckily I live less than 1 mile from work, so that has kept her miles relatively low. About 28,000 per year.
My husbands van is at 110,000 miles, but he wants a Mini of his own now.
I am buying my Mini for a 70 mile a day to/from work commute. I thought that was going to add up to a lot of miles per year - that is until I read this thread.
Even if I went to work 365 days a year, that would be a little over 25,000.
Im not worthy - this group racks up some serious motoring miles.
That's doing great, but you don't have the "she's gonna blow any minute" Midland tanny. ..or 106ADAY could have a CVT, either way 95,000 in hanging in there.
