Our current commute is about 12 miles roundtrip.
For a few years we did a 50 mile daily roundtrip.

We are a one car, one driver, three member family. Thankfully my wife only works about 2 miles from me now. We have averaged about 22,000 miles per year for the last 6 and a half years, 143,000 miles total.

We've taken a few long vacation trips, the last being close to 6,000 miles in two weeks. Mostly it's the weekend shopping trips and domestic obligations that keep the oil companies in business.

We're looking forward to better mileage in our MINI.

No..at 72,000 the 5 speed midland started making a grinding sound...$4200 later. New clutch, trans and D&R of Indy even washed it! I still suprised they won't even crack the case open! It's most likely a $40 bearing!!!!!

Probably split:

8K on the MINI per year
3 to 4K on the Sierra 4x4 per year.

Garage kept and only plays in the sun. Engine bay cleaner than the day I took delivery.

less than 5K, very spirited miles/year.

About the same I put on my bicycle.

2 years and two weeks; 39,000 miles. I do feel a tad guilty about driving up the warranty, but, hey. It happens.

I have a 2005 MCS and just turned 5k on the odometer.

Admittedly it is my third car but is still the most fun to drive.

I work at home and don't get the chance to travel much. :(

My last car was a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT that I traded in on my 2006 MC. The Pontiac had ~112,000 and I had it for a little over 10 years. I've had the MC for about 13 months and it has 12,500 Miles on it. Mr. Consistant...

BTW, I'm averaging 31.6060819629 MPG. It was about 22 MPG with the Pontiac.
