R50/53 After market paint color change (roof/mirrors)

Very general question, but I have no experience with this issue.
I've been thinking about changing my roof and mirror color from white to black. No good reason, just like the look better. Before I do something really stupid, I'd like some advice.
1. Is changing color harmful to car, resale?
2. Any advice to give paint guy to maximize likihood that appearance will be as close to factory paint job as possible.
3. How much do you think it would cost?
